Self portraits with disturbing likeness!
Here's a great opportunity to get to know the different sides of yezix or Yezi as I'd like to be called in real life:
Hawaii
My family loves to travel. Granted we spend countless hours planning every detail of a vacation (which is more like my parents' style of traveling), the actual decision to go on vacation is usually made unexpectedly. NWA is currently offering some nice travel packages. After my dad saw the ad in the Sunday paper, we are contemplating whether we should go to Hawaii for 6 days in early Jan. Man, that'd be great!
So here's a sketch from my caffeine high. I suppose the arm cast and swollen hand are demonstrations of how Ariel's blog has left me traumatized.
Random fact: A psychic once told me that "Hawaii is your special place. You will go there once with your family and again with your loved one."

Caffeine High
Due to my ongoing Internet crisis, I've been occasionally spending my free time at the local Caribou Coffee. I had a small mocha with cream on my visit this Thursday. Now I love coffee but I don't drink it often. So when I did, well.....this is what happened (along with a few following posts):

License Renewal
I got my license when I was 16. Being unprepared, I ended up with a less than ideal id photo for the past few years:
My 21st birthday is a few weeks away. Aside from being able to legally purchase alcohol, that also means it's time for a new drivers license.

And this time, I prepared myself for the photo shoot of my life:
Oh well, if this doesn't turn out as planned, I'll get another chance in six years.
Moving on to color

More Collage!
More experimenting with the collage! Fun but time-consuming. You know, I should just scan the paper designs and create collages in photoshop! No cutting, no gluing.
Anyway, I'm getting back in the rhythm of things. I've been pretty unproductive after I sent in my CalArts portfolio (Character Animation). There are still the Ringling (computer animation) and USC (MFA in animation) portfolios to go

Halloween Shoutout
Here's a little something I did to remember my Halloween weekend. I tried to make the pic fit into Illustration Friday's topic for this week (wind). That's why everyone's floating in the air. I don't think it quite works so I'll just do something else. Colored-pencil on Dura-lar. The corners are a bit blurry 'cause the transparent material is hard to photograph. I'll scan it later.
